roasted spicy chicken

1 chicken (1500 gr)
4 tsp asem (tamarind)
100 ml water
300 ml santen asli (thick coconut milk)

7 shallots
4 cloves garlic
2 cm jahe
1 sereh (lemongrass)
1 tsp cinnamon
5 tsp sambal ulek (see recipe) or 4 red lomboks
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black peppercorns

Cara membuat:
Slice the chicken into 6 pieces. Mix the asem with the water. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu fine into a paste. Mix the boemboe with the asemwater and the santen. Marinade the chicken with it for at least 3 hours. Grill/roast the chicken slowly in 40 minutes above a charcoalfire until done.
