Gulai Siput Kuantan

Bahan-bahan:

500 ge snails
250 gr eggplant (terong asam)
300 ml coconutmilk
2 kunyit leaves (turmeric)
1 jeruk purut / kaffir lime leaf
1 salam leaf
water
Haluskan:
bumbu:
5 red rawits
7 red lomboks
2 cm jahe (ginger)
1 cm laos (galangal)
3 red shalllots
2 cloves garlic
salt to taste

Clean the snails and cook them half done in water. Slice the eggplant fine and rip the kunyit leaves. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu fine into a paste. Heat in a wok the coconutmilk and add the bumbu, the jeruk purut, the kunyit leaves and the salam and let it cook slowy until the bumbu is dissolved. Add the snails and the eggplant and cook it slowly until done.
