Ayam Goreng Ngo Hiang
fried five spice chicken
Bahan-bahan:
ingredients:
1 chicken (heavy, 1200 g)
1 tbsp kecap asin
1 tbsp arak
4 cm jahe/ginger
2 spring onions
1 egg
4 tbsp cornflour
1 tsp palm sugar
1/2 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp ngo hiang/five spice powder (see recipe)
1/2 tsp salt

Cut the chicken into 12 pieces. Cut the spring onion into pieces. Crush the jahe. Mix the chicken with the kecap, the jahe. the arak and the spring onion and knead the meat until the spices are absorbed. Then let it marinate for 30 minutes. Then remove the jahe and the spring onion.
Mix the egg with the cornflour, palm sugar, salt, sesame oil and five spice powder and stir until smooth. Then mix in the chicken.
Heat 10 tbsp oil in a pan and fry the chicken until brown and tender. serve.
