Opor Ayam Kuning
stewed chicken in coconut milk sauce

Bahan bahan:
1 chicken
4 jeruk purut leaves
2 salam leaves
2 serai/sereh/lemongrass, white part
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1000 ml coconut milk (from 1 coconut)
1 tbsp oil

7 shallots
5 cloves of garlic
5 kemiri/candlenuts, toasted
2 cm jahe
1/4 tsp jinten
5 cm kunyit, toasted
1 tsp ketumbar

Cara membuat:
Cut the chicken into 16 pieces. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste.
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the bumbu together with the jeruk purut, the salam and the serai for 6 minutes. Then add the chicken and cook, while stirring, until it changes color. Then mix in the salt and pepper.
Then add the coconut milk bit by bit and cook, while stirring, until the chicken is done and the sauce thickens. Serve.
