Ayam bakar kupang
grilled chicken in fragrant coconut milk sauce

1000 gr chicken
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tsp salt
3 cloves garlic
5 shallots
2 cm kunyit
1 lemongrass
2 red chilies
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 tsp palmsugar
300 ml santen asli
Cara membuat:
Rub the chicken with lime juice and salt and let it rest 20 minutes. Cut the chicken into eight pieces. Roast the chicken slowly over a charcoal fire until brown and tender.
Cut the shallots, garlic and chilies thinly. Heat in a pan the santen and add the garlic, shallots, chilies, the kunyit and lemongrass and cook until it becomes vagrant. Add the chicken, salt, pepper, nutmeg and palm sugar and cook until the sauce has thickened.
