Gulai Bagar Terong
braised beef with aubergine
Bahan-bahan:
ingredients:
750 gr beef (shank)
2 onions
3 cloves garlic
7 red rawits
1/2 red bell pepper
1/2 tbsp ketumbar (coriander)
1 tsp jinten (cumin)
2 cm jahe (ginger)
2 cm kunyit (curcuma)
5 cloves
1 cinnamon piece
1 tsp salt
500 ml santen (coconut milk)
2 terong (aubergine)
1 tbsp oil
Cara membuat:

Slice the onionsm, the garlic and the rawits fine. Slice the meat and the bell pepper into strips. Cut the terongs into cubes. Pound or grind the jahe, the kunyit, the ketumbar and the jinten into a paste.
Heat in a wok the oil and fry the onions and the garlic for 3 minutes. Then add all remaining ingredients and let it simmer slowly for 30-45 minutes unti the meat and the terongs are cooked.
