Xī Lán Huā Chǎo Niú Ròu - 西兰花炒牛肉)
beef stir fry with broccoli
Ingredients:
450 grams of beef
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp light soy sauce
2 tbsp water
1 broccoli
5 cloves of garlic
2 cm jahe/ginger
3 1/2 tbsp oil
water
Ingredients sauce:
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp Shaoxing rice wine
1/2 tbsp light soy sauce
1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp palm sugar
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp sesame oil
3 tbsp water
Preparation:
Crush the meat and cut it into thin slices. Mix the baking soda with the salt, cornstarch, soy sauce and water and mix it with the meat and knead it until the moisture has been absorbed. Then mix in 1/2 tbsp of oil and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Mix the ingredients for the sauce well. Cut the broccoli into florets. Finely chop the garlic and jahe. Heat the water in a pan and blanch the broccoli for 2 minutes and set aside.
Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan and fry the meat briefly on both sides over high heat until it changes color and set aside. Then add 1 tbsp of oil to the pan and fry the garlic and jahe for 1 minute. Then add the sauce followed by the broccoli and the meat and stir until the sauce thickens. Serve.
