Semur Daging Pedas
spicy stewed beef in sauce

500 gr beef (shank)
9 shallots
4 cloves of garlic
5 red rawits
300 gr sweet potato
200 gr carrot
2 cm jahe
2 serai/sereh/lemongrass
2 salam leaf
7 cloves
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
9 tbsp kecap manis
1 tsp nutmeg
3 tsp ketumbar
1500 ml of water

1 cm jahe

Cara membuat:
Cut the meat into pieces. Finely chop the shallots and garlic. Cut the potato into cubes and the carrot into strips. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste.
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the potato until golden brown and crispy and set aside. Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan and fry the shallots, garlic and jahe for 6 minutes. Then add the bumbu, the serai, the salam and the cloves and fry for 3 minutes, while stirring.
Then add the meat and fry until it changes color. Then add the potato, salt, pepper, ketumbar, kecap and nutmeg and mix well.
Then add the water bit by bit and cook the meat until half done. Then add the carrot and cook on a low heat until done and the sauce thickens. Serve.
