Bistek Tagalog
fried steak Tagalog style
Ingredients:
500 gr sirloin steak
12 kalamansi, juice
4 tbsp oil
1 onion
4 tbsp kecap manis
125 ml water
3 potatoes
oil
Preperation/method:
Cut the potatoes into wedges and fry them in the oil golden brown. Cut the meat into slices and marinate them in the kalamansi juice for 30 minutes. Slice the onion into thin rings. Heat in a pan the oil and fry the onion golden brown and set aside. Drain the meat and fry it for 2-3 minutes until brown. Add the juice, the kecap, the water and the onion and let it simmer for 2 minutes. Serve the meat with the potato wedges.
